Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most well-known character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
